The Northern Lights Adventure

Join our expert guides as we leave the city lights behind to find the perfect dark spot for the Aurora Borealis. Traveling in a comfortable minibus with a maximum of 17 passengers — usually 10 or fewer — we offer a personal, intimate experience of nature’s most spectacular light show.

How the night works

Itinerary and timings can vary slightly with weather and conditions.

Reykjavík
  1. Pickup in Reykjavik

From your hotel or designated stop. 21:00 in Sep and Mar, 20:30 in Oct and Feb, 20:00 Nov–Jan.

  2. Out of the light pollution

Your guide shares the science and folklore of the aurora as we drive away from the city.

  3. The hunt

Our specialists pick the spot from the latest Kp-index and real-time cloud cover — one ideal location, or several if that gives better chances.

  4. Back in Reykjavik

    After approximately 2–4 hours.
