Payment is collected when you book. All prices are in Icelandic Krona (ISK) and include 11% VAT; no booking fees are added. The confirmation ticket and invoice are sent automatically to your email.

Transfers require payment no later than 24 hours before arrival. Payments are processed through Borgun, and we accept all major cards (VISA, Mastercard, UPI/CUP, JCB, Diners).

Small-group tours: no cancellation fee (100% refund) when cancelled more than 24 hours before departure. Within 24 hours the full price is charged. If you can’t attend for medical reasons, a doctor’s certificate lets you claim from your travel insurance.

Private tours: 100% refund 14 days or more before departure; 90% refund between 14 and 5 days; no refund less than 5 days before.

Multi-day tours and third-party experiences follow the partners’ own terms, which we send with your itinerary.

Northern Lights: departures are confirmed only when conditions give a high chance of sightings. If we cancel for weather or cloud cover you get a full refund. No refunds or free tours are given if the lights aren’t visible on an operated departure.

No-show: if you are not at the pickup location at the start of the pickup window and can’t be reached by phone, the tour continues without you and the booking is non-refundable.

We may delay, alter or cancel tours due to weather or unsafe conditions. Day tours need a minimum number of passengers; if it isn’t met 48 hours before departure we may cancel, and will offer an alternative (a free upgrade or a trusted partner) or a full refund.

Bookings through third parties (Viator, GetYourGuide, Civitatis, Guide to Iceland etc.) are refunded by that party.

No refund is given when a tour still operates in altered form. If a tour is shortened after departure, a partial refund may be given based on how much of the itinerary was completed.

Full package: 100% refund 14 days or more before the first tour; between 14 days and 24 hours a 10% fee on the discounted price of the cancelled tour; within 24 hours no refund.

Partial package: the 10–15% discount only applies when the tours are bought together, so cancelling one tour means the refund is the special-offer total minus the regular prices of the remaining tours.

If we cancel a tour in a package, you are refunded the discounted price for that tour and the discount stays valid on the rest.

All entrance fees are included unless stated otherwise. Food and drinks are not included unless stated. Swimwear and towels can be rented at the Secret Lagoon.

Pickup is included from most registered hotels, hostels and guesthouses in the Greater Reykjavík Area (all six municipalities), or from designated bus stops in restricted zones. We also pick up at the cruise terminal, BSÍ and Reykjavík Domestic Airport. We don’t pick up at Keflavík or Keflavík Airport, but private transfers can be arranged. Drop-off is at the pickup location unless agreed with the driver-guide.

All tours are guided in English. For private tours in another language, contact us.

No responsibility is taken for losses or expenses due to flight delays or changes, injury, damage, negligence, weather, war or other force majeure. Tour durations are estimates and vary with road and weather conditions.

GTIce ehf. operates under Icelandic law. Any dispute will be handled by the District Court of Reykjavík.
